Co-creation and Collaboration

If the use of the word economy is still valid tomorrow then all those participating in ‘economic’ activity will be involved in co-creation and collaboration.  A blurring between the individual and business, consumption and manufacturing making for the retirement of demand and supply based economics.  The new Attention economy is about individuals self forming to ‘make the future’.  The web used as the platform to enable this self forming, for however short or long.  Some communities will self form for an instant while others will endure and evolve.  The idea behind contentCamp is to act a focus for communities to self form around specific content creation opportunities.  For example, making a video on the Scottish Skiing community, I can ski but who will do the filming, do the voice overs, graphics or music integration, who else wants to participate?  This video captures some of this spirit.

Welcome to contentCamp

I am a self confessed unconference junkie.  After attending my first barcamp in San Francisco in 2006, the format of event became the event of choice for me.  The magic of finding the right person to talk to or work with to solve a technical.  During that time I have participated as an entrepreneur and now as a software engineer.  I recall as a non technical geek the desire to work on something but without the ability to code.  At the last unconference I attended was a charityhack weekend were I was able to volunteer my technical skills.  This is the precise goal for contentCamp to get the ideas people, the content users, creators and those more technically minded to mix better,  in short a place where content creators and geeks meet.
